About the Noosa Country Show
The 2023 Noosa Country Show will be held on Friday 8th and Saturday 9th September 2023. Friday the 8th is a Public Holiday in the Noosa Shire.
The Noosa Country Show "where town meets country" is a long-standing country institution, with a mixture of ring events, displays, competitions, entertainment and, of course, food. It helps our kids understand where their food comes from, introduces everyone to the amazing craft skills of our neighbours, and instills a true sense of community that brings us together like no other event in the Noosa Shire.
About Agricultural Shows
Since the first Agricultural Show was held in Hobart in 1822, they have played an important role in the development of communities throughout Australia. In fact, they are one of the oldest continuous events held in post-colonial Australia.
Each year in this country, around 587 Ag shows are held, 127 of them in Queensland. These are run by more than 13,500 volunteers, and attract 1.3 million visitors.
